FOUR
NODES
Furcate runs on four classes of hardware — from a microcontroller taped to a bearing to a confidential-computing rack in the plant room. Each is shaped by what it senses and what it has to decide — the modality, the latency, the power budget, the network it can rely on. Orchestration of the local network — devices, firmware, identity, connectivity — lives in Furcate Control, the orchestrator app.
Nodes
| Node | Hardware | Deploy | What it does |
Furcate Micro ESP32 & microcontrollers | ESP32-S3 · ESP32-S2 · RP2040 · nRF52 Single-modality · vibration, audio, motion, environmental | Flash over USB Firmware · no host OS needed | Flash firmware carrying a tiny embedded model directly onto microcontroller hardware. Runs intelligence at the very edge, on-device, on a budget of milliwatts. |
Furcate Small Raspberry Pi & small compute | Raspberry Pi 5 · Pi Zero 2 · Orange Pi Local fusion · small-model inference | CLI · desktop Linux · Windows | Deploy the CPU-compatible Furcate variant to small single-board computers. Available headless via CLI or with a desktop UI. |
Furcate Base Jetson & GPU edge devices | Jetson Orin · Jetson Nano · GPU mini-PC Rich-modality · vision, audio, multi-stream | CLI · desktop Linux · Windows | Deploy the GPU/CPU Furcate variant to accelerated edge hardware. Perception-heavy workloads, on-site, with a desktop UI when you want one. |
Furcate Site Site servers & small data centres | Dell PowerEdge XR · HPE ProLiant · Supermicro edge · Lenovo ThinkEdge Site brain · training, federation, the local ledger | CLI · desktop Linux · K3s 3-node HA | Deploy Furcate to confidential-computing servers on the operator's perimeter — one box in a comms cabinet or a small on-prem data centre. Intel TDX / AMD SEV-SNP attested, end to end. |

Above the edge · orchestrators

Furcate nodes are managed by orchestrators — Furcate Site class hardware running Furcate Control inside the operator’s perimeter. The orchestrator manages devices, firmware, identity and the local network, and holds the gate to global connectivity. Kilowatts, not megawatts — a small data centre the size of the problem.
